Alyssa joined as the Executive Assistant for Initiate Justice after earning her B.A. in Psychology, Law and Society from UC Riverside and graduating from the Institute of Impacted Leaders (LA Cohort Spring 2022). She first got involved in community organizing and advocacy with Underground Scholars at UC Riverside, where she spent her time providing support to fellow students and families experiencing the effects of incarceration and institutionalized oppression. Her passion comes from her own lived experience of incarceration within her family to advocate for others with similar circumstances.

As Executive Assistant, she provides high-level support to the Executive Director, oversees projects, coordinates with all departments, and serves as the point of contact for contractors, funders, and community partners.
