Crystal graduated from UCLA in 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Global Health. She later joined Initiate Justice in 2020 and graduated from the Institute of Impacted Leaders in the Fall of the same year. Crystal believes in the empowerment of incarcerated people and their loved ones to advocate for themselves and each other. She uses her lived experiences with her community and loved ones to build an abolitionist future where communities can thrive.
