Shivani is the Policy Associate at Initiate Justice. With nearly a decade of experience as a community organizer and policy advocate, she works at the intersection of health justice and abolition. Shivani believes that dismantling carcerality occurs at the systems- and community-level, and she is dedicated to co-building a world that is rooted in collective care and shared responsibility. She holds a Master of Public Health from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from Brown University. A proud Californian, Shivani brings hope and heart to every aspect of her work.
