RE: Please Read San Quentin News Article on food portions in prisons. 

Hi, I would like to request for a proposal to increase food portions in prisons. Prisons used to serve 3 hot meals. Now we get 2 hot meals with a sack lunch that hardly keeps you from being hungry. If you don’t have money for canteen food items, you can’t even exercise because you’ll starve. The canteen business is profiting off our families hard earned money by state food portions leading us to go and buy expensive canteen food to not go hungry. 

I’ve been incarcerated 18 years and it is not only getting worse. 

May we please shine this issue to higher ups to hopefully investigate and fix this inhumane issue?
