Dear Initiate Justice
I’m just one of many system-impacted persons in awe of the extraordinary work you are doing to educate our politicians that the old barbaric practices should be eliminated from today’s society.
The real problem affecting the current mass incarceration is the illegal violations of the BPH, holding inmates, in some cases up to four decades. I’ve been incarcerated 39 yrs on a 15-to-life sentence. Repeatedly denied because of my inability to express an abstract concept in the context that commissioners want to hear. These requirements are contradictory to State and Federal law, and Penal Code sec. 5011 (a) & (b).
It’s obvious there’s a self-centered reasoning:
1) Job Security. 2) ignoring and contempt for my rights 3) Keep prison full making money. The board needs to be abolished to save the budget. California, being a progressive state, and leader in Judicial reform is a great prevarication. I’m Confident that Initiate Justice Organization will rid this state of anachronistic practice in the CDCR.
