Director of Policy
and Advocacy

As the Director of Policy and Advocacy, you will be responsible for researching, writing, passing, and implementing statewide legislation and other related campaigns to end incarceration in California. As Director, you will increase the visibility and influence of Initiate Justice and Californians impacted by incarceration in the state legislature, while building strong relationships with legislators, staff, and partners. You will also serve as the primary strategist for Initiate Justice’s advocacy campaigns and are responsible for ensuring strategies are directly informed by people most impacted by incarceration.
