“You guys are the ones that make it possible for us to have a chance and hope for a future beyond these walls.”

Dear Crystal,

Greetings, I hope this finds you in good health and spirits. I have a Parole Hearing coming up in late April and I was hoping that the offer for a letter of support was still available. It would be greatly appreciated if it is possible. As you can imagine any help can go a long way. This will be my first chance at getting a date after serving 24 years. I’ve been incarcerated since the age of 17 and finally having a chance to get out is a big deal. I’m not sure if you’ll receive this letter but the reason I’m writing you is because I asked about information for Transitional Housing and you sent me some really helpful information. Making it possible for me to get accepted into a couple different programs if I’m released. You also said to write when I’m close to board and you would provide a letter of support. I know it’ll be from Initiate Justice and not one person specifically. I do want to say thank you to you and all the staff members for everything you guys do to help people like me. You guys take time out of your busy lives to help people you’ve never met and that in itself is very honorable and goes to show that there are good people out there that do care. You guys are the ones that make it possible for us to have a chance and hope for a future beyond these walls. Thank You!

I hope to hear back from you if it’s possible.

Respectfully,
